Caregivers often feel sad, even if the person they care for is still alive. This can happen when the person being cared for has a life-limited condition (a condition that does not have any proper hope for treatment), or his personality has been affected by his illness.

You can also consider talking to the counselor. It can help you to discuss your emotions with someone who is objective and does not have emotional connection in the situation. It can help, especially if the person you care for denies their position.
